HOW TO RESTORE ADMIN PASSWORD TO ACCESS THE WMS INTERFACE

Problem: The PBX is accessible via web interface but the login is rejected.

Solution: It is possible to restore the password of the admin user by connecting to the Consle Menu via ssh (tcp port 22) or by connecting your PC to the serial port of the PBX.

Option 1. Connect to the Console Menu via SSH (tcp port 22)

1) Connect to PBX engine (type quit to logout from it)
2) Services status
3) Services restart
4) Change admin password
5) Open Syslog
6) Reset network settings
7) Reset WMS to factory defaults
8) Backup configs
9) Recover system
10) Reboot
11) Shell
12) Ping

Select the option 4 (Change admin password) to restore the admin password.

Change admin password? (yes/No)
yes
Please, enter the new password:
Confirm the new password:

Option 2. Yon can also reset the password by connecting your PC to the serial port of the PBX, note that you may need 9-pin or RJ45 cable (depending on the type of hardware of the pbx):

1) Launch the serial terminal program (putty, hyperterminal etc. ) on your PC with the following settings : 19200 baud 8n1
2) Reboot the PBX
3) When the GRUB menu appears, select the entry “Reset root password”

After the reset you will be able to connect to WMS interface using the default password (“wildix”).
